What is Early Childhood Education?
The Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007, established the College of Early Childhood Educators that is responsible for regulating the profession of early childhood education. Click here for further information on the college. KidsAbility requires that all Resource Consultants are members in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
What services does a Resource Consultant provide?
- Resource Consultants provide a variety of programs to enhance the development of preschool children who have developmental, physical and communication disabilities
- The goal is to foster the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of each child through individualized programs in a stimulating and therapeutic environment
- Through participation in a wide variety of developmentally appropriate preschool activities, the children gain experience in separating from parents, playing with other children and following a preschool routine
