Education & Knowledge Sharing

The KidsAbility Centre of Excellence is committed knowledge sharing. To support KidsAbility as a knowledge organization we are committed to:
  • Emerging Evidence Based practice – attendance at quality conferences such as: the annual conference of the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) and the Canadian Association of Childrens Health Centres (CAPHC), the Ontario Association of Children’s Rehab Services (OACRS).
  • KidsAbility's Profession Leads oversee the supervision of post secondary students placements on an annual basis, across all disciplines.
  • Family education is a significant part of the therapist role in a Family Centred service model.
  • Community education through forums and workshops that supports the an exchange of knowledge through families and professionals.
  • Professional Development for all staff – Continuing Education opportunities are available to support the Performance Appraisal process.
