Each year, KidsAbility partners with Laurier University's Music Therapy program and Carousel Dance Centre to provide an integrated arts camp. This year, Arts Express will be held from July 9th - 13th. Participants enjoy music, art, drama, dance, swimming, and sensory play. A performance will be held on the final day for family and friends. Summer Playground is a recreation program offered by the SunBlast Parent Committee, KidsAbility, City of Cambridge and Community Living Cambridge.The playground is designed for children with disabilities (both developmental andphysical), as well as their siblings, friends and neighbours. Participants must be between the ages of 5 to 13 in this calendar year. The SunBlast Summer Playground is run five days a week, at Saginaw Public School in Cambridge. Participants take part in various games, arts and crafts, and fun activities that are planned each day,including offsite trips. To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for your child, four trained staff plus volunteers will ensure a low camper to staff ratio. We do not provide 1to1 support. Step out of your comfort zone and see what you can do! Join us for a week, preferably two, of summer fun where you’ll be part of choosing what we do. Activities may include rock climbing, eating out, shopping, movies or bowling. Learn the skills to manage money, get around the city, stay safe, plan outings with friends, and make healthy choices. You’ll get to choose personal goals related to life skills and active living. Come GET OUT and GET ACTIVE! Unplug from your everyday and stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone!!
