Firefly Therapy Services - Speech-Language Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists provide support to individuals with challenges in speech, language, and literacy. Speech-Language Pathologists target the following areas of development: speech and articulation, language comprehension and expression, social communication, communication methods, reading and literacy, swallowing and feeding, and language processing.

Speech-Language Therapy at Firefly Offers:
- Assessment
- 1:1 Therapy
- Group Therapy*

A Speech-Language Pathologist with Firefly Therapy Services will assess the needs of your child, develop a treatment plan with your input, and implement the plan in a play-based environment that captures the interests of your child.

*Group Therapy sessions will be designed and offered periodically throughout the year. They may be created based on current client needs, or on needs expressed by the community.  For more information on upcoming group opportunities, please speak with your therapist.

Our team of Speech-Language Pathologists are graduates of an accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology, and are registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). All staff are KidsAbility employees, and therefore provide services that are consistent with KidsAbility’s mission statement: Empowering children and youth with special needs to realize their full potential.

Please note that services are available at the Waterloo and Cambridge site locations. Families in Wellington County are welcome to access Firefly Therapy Services at either the Waterloo or Cambridge site locations. Click here to view our program brochure.
