On Tuesday, October 8, KidsAbility’s Waterloo site was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated the grand opening of our brand-new, accessible, and inclusive playground!
The event kicked off with inspiring remarks from City of Waterloo Ward 4 Councillor Diane Freeman, KidsAbility Board Chair Elizabeth Witmer, KidsAbility Foundation Chair Valerie Hoag, KidsAbility CEO Jennifer Foster, and KidsAbility Foundation Executive Director Lisa Talbot. Their words set the stage for an unforgettable day.
Guests enjoyed exclusive small group tours of our Waterloo site, getting a thrilling sneak peek at the transformation of Benny’s Pond into “Benny’s Place” – a new therapy space for children.
A special thank you to KidsAbility parent, Melissa and client, Kaiden, who had the honour of cutting the ribbon.
The playground reflects KidsAbility’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and creating environments where every child can play, grow, and thrive.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us on this amazing day, especially our supporters from Rotary Clubs in Waterloo, Kitchener, Grand River and Guelph whose unwavering support is a constant reminder of our mission.
