Kitchener, ON – A single cookie really can make a big difference!

Teams from KidsAbility, Nutrition for Learning, and the Cambridge Food Bank gathered at Tim Hortons, 4285 King Street East, Kitchener to celebrate the success of this year’s Smile Cookie Week, held April 28 to May 4, 2025.

Tim Hortons local franchise owner Gregg Oliver and his location manager Chance Guant were joined by charity representatives to unveil the impressive total: an incredible $398,498 raised to support children and families across Waterloo Region who benefit from all three recipient charities.

The theme of “Three Charities. Two Dollars. One Community” resonated deeply with the community, showing both the power of kindness across our region and the importance of the charities’ impactful work.

Every $2 Smile Cookie purchased contributed directly to each of the causes, with KidsAbility receiving an outstanding $142,288.14 this year, bringing a cumulative total to $1,409,648.50 since the Tim Hortons partnership began in 2008.

“We’re grateful beyond words,” said Lisa Talbot, Executive Director of KidsAbility Foundation. “Every cookie purchased represents a child’s access to the life-changing therapy they need, close to home. Our community has shown once again that, together, we can do amazing things for kids.”

From our incredible volunteers who decorated thousands of cookies with icing smiles to the Tim Hortons team members who rallied in-store for each meaningful cause across the three charities, Smile Cookie Week continues to show how small actions can lead to powerful outcomes.

A big thank you to our charity partners Erin Moraghan, CEO, Nutrition for Learning, and Dianne McLeod, CEO, Cambridge Food Bank and their incredible teams for making this year such a success for each charity.

Our heartfelt thanks to the entire Tim Hortons network of owners and every cookie buyer for helping to foster possibilities for children and families in our community.

Because when cookies come with a purpose—everyone smiles.
