After 25 years of visionary leadership, Lisa Talbot has announced that she will be stepping down as Executive Director of KidsAbility Foundation, effective December 31, 2025 or earlier, depending on the timing of the leadership transition. Lisa will remain in her role during this period to support a smooth and thoughtful transition to new leadership.

“Reaching this milestone has brought with it a natural time of reflection — on all that we’ve accomplished together, and on what the Foundation needs for its next chapter,” says Lisa. “With Jennifer Foster now settled into her leadership role at the Centre, and both organizations aligned around a bold new vision and shared momentum, the timing feels right for fresh energy and new leadership to guide the Foundation forward.”

Throughout her 25 years, Lisa has been a tireless champion for children and youth with disabilities helping to grow the Foundation’s capacity, deepen its partnerships, and build a culture of generosity that continues to transform lives across our community.

“Lisa has been a constant source of vision, heart, and commitment,” says Valerie Hoag, Chair of the KidsAbility Foundation Board of Directors. “She has helped shape not only the success of the Foundation, but the strength of our broader KidsAbility community. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and look forward to celebrating her lasting legacy in the months ahead.”

Jennifer Foster, CEO of KidsAbility, adds: “Lisa has been an extraordinary partner during a time of transition and growth. Her leadership has helped to ensure that the Centre and Foundation are more aligned than ever in our shared vision. I’ve been grateful for her support and collaboration and know she will continue to be a powerful advocate for KidsAbility in all that comes next.”

The Board of Directors will begin a search for the next Executive Director and will share updates on the process in the coming months.

Please join us in expressing our deepest gratitude to Lisa for her extraordinary leadership, unwavering passion, and the profound impact she has made over the past 25 years.

With gratitude,
Valerie Hoag
