At KidsAbility, our purpose has always been to help children and youth reach their full potential.
KidsAbility is committed to ensuring that our services are delivered in a sustainable way that is responsive to community needs. KidsAbility is not alone in facing challenges delivering Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy services for clients within an individualized, needs-based funding model. We have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause our ABA therapy service offering after January 1, 2026. We will use this pause to take several months to carefully assess how to thoughtfully adapt and ensure our future service offering can remain sustainable, high-quality, and responsive to the evolving needs of families.
We understand how important these services have been to the children and families we serve. Our dedicated ABA therapy team will continue providing care and support until the end of 2025. We are giving our clients advance notice and will support them in finding other service options.
This pause does not impact our other programs that support children and youth with an Autism diagnosis and an OAP number, including our Entry To School (ETS), Foundational Family Services (FFS), and Caregiver Mediated Early Years (CMEY) programs, which will continue to operate as usual.
