Camp lit! (Learning Independence Together)

Camp lit! is a fun-filled week where participants practice independence skills, make new friends and get to stay overnight in a university dorm. It is aimed at youth in high school with physical disabilities who will live on their own one day. Attendant care services are available.

What to Expect:

Camp lit! is a one week camp - Monday and Tuesday, 9:00am - 4:00pm at KidsAbility, Wednesday starts at KidsAbility and participants bus to the university campus to spend Wednesday and Thursday nights in an accessible dorm. On Friday, participants travel back to KidsAbility. Camp ends at 3:00pm on the Friday.

When is it Offered:

The camp is offered for one week in the summer. Program will alternate between Waterloo site/Laurier University and Guelph site/University of Guelph.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are unable to offer Camp LIT in 2021.
