SibsAbility Workshop:
SibsAbility is a group opportunity for siblings of individuals with special needs that offers peer support and education within a recreational context. These siblings have their own unique needs and experiences. Being a sibling can be challenging at times but also very rewarding, and we believe that siblings have much to offer one another. This group aims to offer a safe and supportive environment for siblings to explore their experiences & feelings.
What to Expect:
During this fun-filled group, siblings will meet others who can relate, share their experiences together – both positive and challenging – and learn some helpful tools and strategies to cope when things get tough. This group is facilitated by two Social Workers, who aim to ensure the group is fun and captivating, but also utilize their clinical knowledge & expertise to facilitate a therapeutic environment.
