Gift of RRSP / RRIF

Your registered retirement funds
are amongst the most heavily taxed assets that you own. You can reduce your estate taxes by deciding to have the proceeds of your funds directed to KidsAbility Foundation. With your gift, you will help children and youth in your community.
By naming KidsAbility Foundation as
the designated beneficiary of your registered retirement saving plan (RRSP) or registered retirement income fund (RRIF):
- Proceeds
from your funds are handled as a charitable donation,
- Proceeds
from your funds pass directly to the beneficiary and not through your estate,
- You
receive a tax receipt from KidsAbility Foundation which helps to offset estate
taxes.
A direct beneficiary designation of
your RRSP or RRIF is simple and easy to do by requesting the appropriate form from
your advisor.
Need help planning? We offer Sample Bequest Wording and a Letter of Intention to help guide you through the process. You can also download our Legacy Giving Brochure.
