"Music for All" class designed specifically for children with special needs. These innovative group classes have been designed to build an appreciation for music while developing a strong foundation in theory, technique, and ear-training. There is a course for everyone!

The Buddy Choir is an inclusive company who invites anyone who loves music and community to join. The only requirement is that you love to perform! This group emerged through the Waterloo Region Down Syndrome Society, and has grown and evolved to become a reflection of the diversity of our community and a model for inclusion and belonging.
Drum Club - Guelph, Waterloo
Come join us for a weekly hour of drumming! Our guest percussionist, Richard Burrows, will educate and encourage you to get your groove on. Having both a Master’s degree in percussion and in music education, Richard has honed his skills to create a unique drumming program for all. These one hour classes will teach rhythm, communication and confidence. This program is for youth with special needs. Age exceptions may be made. If your child needs one to one support to participate, please contact us to discuss if this program is appropriate. Siblings and Friends are welcome to join too!

Firefly’s music therapy program is facilitated by a registered music therapist who has extensive experience working with a wide range of needs. All of our music programs are therapy based with the aim of meeting non-musical means. No specific diagnosis is required for a child or teen to participate in Firefly’s music therapy programs. We offer 1:1 music therapy, and group sessions.

Music Together - Music and Movement Classes for Babies, Toddlers, Big Kids and Their Families - Fergus, Elora
Music Together classes build on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. We'll help you provide your child with the basic musical skills needed to enjoy school and social musical activities, and to study an instrument should he or she choose to do so.

Resonate Music Therapy Services - Fergus
Music plays an important role in brain development and can engage both hemispheres of the brain, improving damaged areas due to injuries or neurological disorders. A scientific and evidence-based practice called "Neurologic Music Therapy," that uses musical elements including singing and instruments to assist participants in meeting non-musical goals such as improved language, attention, and self-regulation which transfer into their daily lives. Individual and group sessions are available for all ages and abilities.
