KidsAbility and the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health team are once again partnering to offer special accommodation COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children, families, and caregivers. First and second dose appointments are available for children aged 5-17.
Vaccination clinics will be held at KidsAbility’s Guelph location (503 Imperial Road North, Unit #7) on the following dates/times:
- Friday, February 4 – 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, February 5 – 9 a.m. to 12 noon
- Saturday, February 12 – 9 a.m. to 12 noon
Special accommodation vaccination clinics offer children and their families additional supports. For example, private immunization spaces in a sensory-friendly clinic (e.g., reduced noise and lighting) as well as longer appointment times, plenty of toys for distraction, and caring therapists and volunteers to support the needs of each child and their family. Children attending these clinics may also bring a comforting toy or stuffy with them. Translation services are also available, if required.
Capacity is limited at these special accommodation vaccination clinics. To book an appointment, call 1-800-265-7293, ext. 7006 or email access@wdgpublichealth.ca.
Note: All vaccine-related questions must be directed to the experts at Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health.
