Last month, KidsAbility held its final Special Accommodation COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic for children and youth in partnership with the Region of Waterloo and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health Units.

In total, 21 vaccination clinics were held over four months (December 2021 to March 2022) with nearly 100 KidsAbilty staff helping 600+ children and their families get vaccinated.

Families still wishing to receive their COVID-19 vaccine in an environment specialized for children and youth must contact their local public health unit:

  • In Waterloo Region, families can call or email Region of Waterloo Public Health at 519-575-4400 or phecovidimms@regionofwaterloo.ca. Families should say they’re looking for a Pediatric Special Accommodation Clinic and provide a synopsis of what supports are required for their child.
  • In Wellington County, families can call or email Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health at 1-800-265-7293, ext. 7006 or access@wdgpublichealth.ca. Families should say they’re looking for a Pediatric Special Accommodation Clinic and provide a synopsis of what supports are required for their child.
