We are excited to announce that Meaghan Reitzel, a member of KidsAbility both as an occupational therapist and as a researcher, has received the prestigious Health Sciences Graduate Student Association (HSGSA) Impact Award at McMaster University. 

The HSGSA Impact Award honors graduate students who make significant contributions through their research, scholarly work, or practicum. Meaghan’s work in enhancing pediatric telerehabilitation access and engagement stands out for its impact and innovation.

Meaghan’s award-winning research involved close collaboration with KidsAbility families, clinicians, and managers. Through interviews and focus groups, she co-designed solutions to improve access and engagement in pediatric telerehabilitation. This work not only benefits KidsAbility but also advances the broader field of pediatric rehabilitation.

Cynthia Lennon, Rocket’s Clinical Innovation Specialist, and Dr. Michelle Phoenix, a former KidsAbility alumna and Rocket’s Adjunct Scientist at KidsAbility, were co-authors on this significant telerehab publication
